SQL Server - integrated authentication- specify username in standalone.xml

Hello Everyone,

I have SQL server data source specified in my Appian instance.
I am using Windows integrated authentication.
The username I am specifying is in the format DOMAIN\\USERNAME.
But, I am getting an error while JBoss starts.
The error is "Login failed for user ...". I have also included the library required for integrated windows authentication.
I have also specified the encrypted password for windows authentication in security-domain element in standalone.xml
Also went through the related knowledge articles on using Integrated authentication with SQL server, but unable to figure out the cause.

Please help.
