Cloning an Appian Server - Hostname or IP?

Hello experts,

imagine there is an on-premise installation with all components (DBMS, JBoss, Appian) on a single (virtual) machine.

For cloning reasons I wonder if this will work or not, since there is always the hostname or IP configuered.

For which files I will have to adjust the hostname/IP?

Thank you for helping me
Chris

  • From Appian's point of view, host name is stored in the custom.properties file that points to the URL that the system will access. In addition to that, the license key would be linked to your FQDN as well. Having said that, why are you trying to 'clone' when you can use the CONFIG script to build the environment of choice without having to go through these challenges?
