Cloning an Appian Server - Hostname or IP?
christofs
Hello experts,
imagine there is an on-premise installation with all components (DBMS, JBoss, Appian) on a single (virtual) machine.
For cloning reasons I wonder if this will work or not, since there is always the hostname or IP configuered.
For which files I will have to adjust the hostname/IP?
Thank you for helping me
Chris

Installation of other services is just a standards command script. So you can create a batch or .sh file that installs Appian & database, then runs the config script, which in turn will install jboss as well as configure the platform for you. You can parametrize the entire configuration based on where you're deploying the services.
Depends on what your use case is (i.e. why you want to clone the instances in the first place )
