Has anyone successfully connected to a MS SQL server from Linux-based Appian installation using Windows Authentication and SSL? If so, which JDBC did you use?

Hi bryant.st39,
I can confirm that this is not possible. You cannot use Windows Authentication on a Linux server. This is not an Appian limitation but the way SQL Server JDBC driver works with Windows Authentication which makes it required to be running it on Windows.

Yeah, it's a JDBC issue. The jTDS driver seemed like they were on the path to solving it but never finished. Progress Software has a solution we are testing.

FYI, we have performed Windows authentication into a MS SQL Server instance using the jTDS driver. We just cannot get it to work with SSL enabled on the MS SQL Server instance.

For anyone interested, we have developed a jTDS patch that will use Windows Authentication to authenticate into a MS SQL Server instance with SSL enabled.
