I am using Appian Community Edition. I am trying to set up connection from Appian to an RDS Sql Server database on AWS Cloud. I went with New Connected System. I have keyed in JDBC Connection, User id and Password. But the UI is saying "No supported drivers are installed. Refer to Appian Documentation for the use and configuration of this design object."
My RDS Sql Server is on version 2022
I have checked the documentation at https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/24.3/Configuring_Relational_Databases.html
Its asking me to install drivers at <REPO_HOME>/tomcat/apache-tomcat/lib
I am not sure where to do that in the Community Edition.
Please advise solution if you have come across this issue.
Regards,
Mahesh

I think the Community Edition just does not support this feature.
Hi maheshg821223 community edition does support those features
You have to upgrade to do this
Your best option is to use a DBaaS that has a HTTP REST API (i.e. https://supabase.com/).
You mean to the full version of appian platform?
I have tried to set up a Connected System to SQL Server Data Source, I have entered JDBC details, Its giving me Test Failed when trying to do the Testing. On the AWS RDS Sql Server instance, what IP Addresses should I allow from Appian to let the traffic in? On the below site, there are quite a few, so I am not sure which on should I allow:
community.appian.com/.../kb-1582-how-to-allow-traffic-from-appian-cloud-based-on-ips
Finally I was able to set up AWS RDS Sql Server connection from Appian.
I had to white list IP Addresses from the below link on my SQL Server and then it worked:
