unable to access database/create a datamodel in appian community

Question

Hi Team 
 Iam working in appain community edition and trying to create a record type and facing the following problems like 
 1 .not getting start from scratch option while creating record type 
 2. when selecting database option it shows error : data source cannot be reached 
 3. CDT/Data store is not accessible in this environment 
 4.unable to see cloud database in navigation bar 
 
 could you please suggest the recommened approach.

You need to create a workspace to get access to the database, but CDTs and Data Stores are still restricted in Appian Community Edition. Refer to the documentation below for more details. Setup your workspace so that you have database selection enabled in the record type! Others are expected behavior as Appian Community Edition comes with some feature restriction.

Did you complete the Community form steps from region selection till accepting terms and conditions? Normally after completing the questionnaire and completion the terms and conditions in some time, you receive an email such as in Image 1 having W#. Can you check if you have receive something similar. That would indicate your workspace assignment is finished. Ideally after this no issues are there and I can create record type from scratch too by selecting respective W# data source and schema(Image 2).

 If you have done all the above and have a active workspace then drop an email to CommunityEdition@appian.com so they can look on their end and resolve the issue causing this behavior.
