Group Deletion

Hi, 
 We have to remove 2 user groups from Appian. 
 When we Delete these groups from Development environment and take application export then import this application ZIP in higher environment, will deletion reflect in higher environment OR we have to manually delete those 2 groups from all higher environments as well ? 
 Please let me know what's best practice followed in such scenario.

deleting a group from lower environment and moving the objects which referred those groups to higher environment will not result in deleting the groups. You will have to delete the groups from all the environments. further more as I understand Object Security will merge when we move code in to higher environments rather than replace.
