Effect of updating CDTs on process model instances that use the updated CDT

If you haven't gone through the documentation already, I would like to suggest to explore the 'Note' part especially in the documentation at above link.

Also I would like to suggest searching the forum posts on this topic and I believe you can find many.

@manic Until and unless I am not wrong, the query is speaking about the updates in process instances but not the updates in process models. I would suggest you providing the information with regards to process instances rather than process models.
