How to query Filter multiple conditions on multiple columns?

AFAIK Appian does not support the filters on the fields of nested cdt in a query entity. But How ever you can load the data by filtering with the field in the parent cdt and then refine the data in appian side for the next filter that you want to apply on the field of nested cdt.

Appian does support filtering by fields of a nested CDT - but you might run into difficulties if the nested CDT is a multiple.

To answer the original question, you can just just dot notation within the field property of your query entity filter if the nested CDT is not multiple, but otherwise you'll have to run two separate queries to retrieve the data you require.

I would suggest you first retrieve data based on parent column filter and later in appian filter based on child column.

As every one mentioned that Appian does support filtering by fields of a nested CDT. Why can't you go for View approach based on the joins on those tables? Can you please give me the high level entities which you have so that we can give some consolidated approach.

Database view fits well in here. You could create a datastore entity for the view and fetch the results putting multiple filters as if you are getting the data from a table.

Instead of nested CDT you can create a view of required columns and then can apply filter on any column.

According to me creating a view best suits in your case .And then create a data store entity and map the created view to the data store.Now its possible to query and get results accordingly.
