I had a requirement that not to use any database to push and pull the data, and to use json for that, is it possible, with respect to records,reports, process models, if possible how?

If your source is a web service, check out the Service-Backed Record Tutorial. As for reading and writing, depending on how the web service is configured you should be able to use the same integration object to read and write data.
