Disable default search in Records

 Is it possible to disable the default search box in an entity-backed record.

Afaik, As a designer, we do not have the control over the search box that is provided by Appian by default on the records. We can only have an option to either add a user filter or a default filter on the records. 
The work around for this would be create a grid which resembles the record list and provide a link on one of the grid field to the record summary. This ways we can add only the filters that we want. This is just imitating the record list.

 No, we can not disable the default filters in Appain as we don't have any option to configure the same.

In the most recent version (v23.3) you can disable it on the 'filters' tab of the record by disabling the checkbox below.

You can go to that particular record type and from filters you can uncheck the Show Search box.
