I'm talking about something like a user picker search. Is that possible? I see you can have dropdowns but those are not user friendly when you have a lot of data.

All record user filters have a search box when there are more than 11 options. The search is very performant. Have you experimented with that yet? It was released in Appian 19.3
I just saw that. I hadn't realized it did that on the filters as well
