I am looking for a way to create a range in a record filter. I want to be able to enter in a minimum and maximum value to query by, but that does not seem to be allowed as the options for a filter are only =, <>, or between. Is this a possibility, and if not, do you have any intention to update this in a later release?

The "between" operator fulfils the "range" you are looking to implement. In your query filter you can identify the "field" you want to filter on, set the "operator" to "between" and set the value to an array of two items. The first will be your lower bound and the second your upper bound.
We addressed that as a possibility but would prefer to have user input to specify the range instead of preset ranges.
