I see this tilde every-time the value of my floating point reaches 9999999999999. Does anybody know why?

Usually that symbol can be used to indicate "approximate value"; in this case I'm guessing it's because the decimal in question is so large that Appian is telling you the value displayed may be approximate instead of exact.
