Hello All,
I need to open a dialog box when i click on Add/Modify Action/Related Action.
While I do so for Add New Item, I want to pass a parameter to the process. Unable to do it using a related action as it requires an identifier which does not exists when you add a new Item.
Any suggestions to achieve this requirement.

What kind of value would that be? Static or dynamic? If static, there is no need to pass it.
Its a dynamic value based on selection in a form.
Did you try a startProcessLink? This allows you to pass any values to any process.
Yes, but that does not open up in a Dialog Box
True. But a recordAction can not have any context and a related action is tied to its existing record.
This is one of the gaps in the current state of Appian. I think everybody is waiting for a startProcessLink opening in a dialog.
