You can use the Execute Stored Procedure plugin here:
forum.appian.com/.../summary
This will give you access to a smart service of the same name that you can use.

I don't think you can. Not sure how you can leverage a smart service plugin through a record.

I was not sure either. I thought smartservices could only be used in processes

Bjarte, I misunderstood what you said. You can't directly create a stored procedure backed record (the three types available are process-backed, entity-backed, and service-backed).
What I was implying with the plugin is that you could use it to map the data out of the stored procedure into a CDT, and create a process or entity backed record from there.
