I have a main RecordType which is linked to another RecordType "recordattorneys" which is internally linked to another recordtype "attorneys".
Now when I try to set up "user filter", I am unable to do. Getting an error message like "Please add at least one filter option".
FYI: I have a one-to-many relation between main recordtype and "recordattorneys" and many-to-one relation between "recordattorneys" and "attorneys"

OK. Seems good for me. You will just have to define the available options. Appian will not be able to determine them by itself. If the options are not static, then you will need to switch to expression mode and create the options using some logic.
In this case, I have to place the filter with a static data list of Attorneys (Attorney - name). Not sure exactly what needs to be done in this case.
I have handled another case, where my main recordType is having many-to-one (Only one relation) with another recordType and I was able to provide userFilter.
Not sure how to fix this case(Where data is there two layer down from the main recordType)
