I have a main RecordType which is linked to another RecordType "recordattorneys" which is internally linked to another recordtype "attorneys".
Now when I try to set up "user filter", I am unable to do. Getting an error message like "Please add at least one filter option".
FYI: I have a one-to-many relation between main recordtype and "recordattorneys" and many-to-one relation between "recordattorneys" and "attorneys"

OK. Seems good for me. You will just have to define the available options. Appian will not be able to determine them by itself. If the options are not static, then you will need to switch to expression mode and create the options using some logic.
To avoid the error, I have added "option lable" like below. But, it is not full filling my requirement (Loading of Attorneys data in a dropdown for search facility)
As I mentioned already, Appian will not load your distinct Attorneys by itself.
