Has anybody had any experience calling a process model (exposing a web service) to update a database via a tempo record.
Thanks...

Hi Hayley, can you explain if there is any issue that you encountered when doing that?

Hi Gaurav
It isn't that we have encountered any issues, it will just be the first time that we have used this functionality and were looking for some general advice to see whether other people had used it and what they did to implement.
Thanks

Hi Hayley, you can use this link to expose a process model as a web service:

To update database, it should be straight forward -> Use Write to datastore node to update the table based on the Primary Key ID that should be a parameter defined in the web service.

Hi Hayley, be sure to check out the bind() function if you're going to be using webservices to update record data from dashboards.
What approaches are you considering?

Haley, can you explain the use case a little better? Why are related actions not sufficient in your case? Exposing models as web services should be primarily used for external consumption.

I think the start process writer function might be what you are looking for.

I have used this on a tempo dashboard to post data into a database and it works quite well.
