Failed to Find Application - Deployment API Request (Import)

Question

I'm using the Deployment API , specifically to import a package. In the documentation, there is no reference on how to add a package to a specific application. It's unclear then why it displays the following error: 
 ``` 
 INFO Inspecting the package 'Test.zip' of the external deployment. ERROR Failed to find an application [uuid=424242placeholder2424] for the external deployment [uuid=424placeholder42424]. 
 ``` 
 
 Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Resolved. The documentation did not explain that you must import the same application from the initial environment. It may be clearer to longtime Appian Developers, but it should still be noted in the documentation and/or in an error message.
