I am trying to create a "Related Task" for a Record Type that passes a value from my record to the Process Model I have tried something like
{myField: rf!recordField}
but this throws an error, do I not have access to the record once it is in the Related Task section?...

What version are you running? 7.6 added the ability to access additional information. 7.5 and below only offer pp!id as available data for a related action.

Then you are correct, in 7.5 you do not have access to the record. All you have is pp!id to work with. In 7.6 you have access to the record.

How can I use the pp!id to retrieve a value from the record?

To my knowledge you can't. I've passed the ID to the process and queried my database for that ID. (Assuming these are entity backed records)

I was able to verify that I am doing this correctly thank you for the help...now just have to figure out why my retrieving of the record and writing to data store is inserting a new record instead of updating the one that was retrieved
