User uploads the word file with number of screenshots to APPAIN using file upload component in an interface, but some of the images in the word file is missing and facing the blank space in the place of image, what might the cause for it.

We are expecting the user to upload a document in the interface as user uploaded the word document it will contain the images and we have separate page to view the documents uploaded by the User, once user uploaded the word file and proceed further, once we download and view the file the some of the images are missing and showing the empty spaces in place of picture.
So, you just upload a Word document, do not modify it in any way, and when downloaded, it does not show the images anymore?

Appian does not modify your files when they are just uploaded and downloaded.
But finding the root cause for this issue can be very tricky. You could try to compare a misbehaving file using their hash values, or by other means.
