Data base table security or permission to query data from table

Data base table security or permission to query data from table, Do we actually need permission to actually retrive data from database table into Appian query entity/record?, what is the basic permission required...?

You need at least permissions to query data and the schema.

Without at least Viewer rights on the object that connects Appian to the database (Record Type/Data Store), your queries will fail or return an error stating that the object does not exist or you have insufficient privileges .
