If you use the typename() function you should be able to debug this. typename(9) returns "Date and Time", typename(typeof(now())) returns "Date and Time with Timezone" which might be the problem. Try construction your values using the datetime() function instead of using now().

Both now() and now()-7 will return a dateTime valu. So please check that your record field on which this filter is applied (i.e createdTime) is of dateTime format only.
In such a case you can use todate(now()-7) and todate(now())

Thanks for the reply... the issue was type mismatch from the type of process variable that we were referring.
