In our project we tried to turn off the out of the box User record which seems to be impossible.
Now we tried to enhance the record/dashboards with additional user info that is stored in a database.
It seems the out of the box User record is different to all other records as we can't have default filters and User Filters have to be applied different to the other records.

Has anyone out there done customization for the User record and is willing to share?
It seems to me that the user record in forum is actually filtered!

its filtered to see only your organization people , You can't see all the 1000's of users using forum.appian.com

Well, you can't edit the default filters on User record but you can still have user filters which can be used to filter the list of user by user type or etc. Moreover, you can add related actions to view / edit additional information for the user and additional views for any other usage.

Just to complement what the first user mentioned, the restrictions over what you can see in the user record are achieved by this: forum.appian.com/.../User_Profile_Visibility.html
