I have a user filter that needs to check if the value for a record field is either 5 or 6. How can I achieve this when the only operators are "=", "<>", and "between"?

Maybe you try to us between 4 and 7. I think the between excludes the treshold values, so between 5 and 6 would not work.

Yes, I could do that, but valid values are 1-6 and we have constants. It seems strange to have to do it this way, but I guess I may have to.

Constants should be no problem so you could define two more constants to define lower and upper threshold values.

Could you use "not in" and a value of {1,2,3,4} in the query filter?

Apologies, I'm assuming you're creating the filters dynamically - I guess you're using the record filters on the record editor.

Depending on your version, you could make an expression-based user filter to solve your issue, but I think that's a relatively recent introduction (7.11+?)

We are still on 7.10, but will be upgrading soon. I will go with the between approach for now, and use an expression based filter when we upgrade. Thanks!!!

In addition to the suggestions above (much appreciated, all), you could simply use the logical operator "or". See

@Eliot That's not an option when adding a static user filter - see the attached screenshot.

Ah, right you are! I clearly didn't read the question carefully enough; my apologies!
