Is there any way to have a button act like a 'record link'?

Create an image as a button style and use the a!documentImage() component with record link.

Ram is correct, you can use following in case you want to use icons:
a!imageField(
label: "Label",
images: {
a!documentImage(
document: a!iconIndicator(
"STATUS_OK"
),
link: a!recordLink(
recordType: cons!RecordType,
identifier: "Identifier""
)
)
},
size: "ICON"
)

Absolutely yes. You can keep the buttonwidget alone in SAIL Forms and reports to get into Records using appian functions such as urlforrecord or recordLink
Approach is pretty same as the link which we use to do in gridTextColumn

@nickh647 - In Appian, we can have links act like buttons but not the other way around. We may not achieve the exact scenario but we have mimic it by having an image of the button linked to the record. Please follow any of the method suitable for you mentioned by the fellow appian practitioners.
