Can a FitNesse For Appian test be implemented as a Smart Service?

AFAIK this feature does not exist OOTB. I think you would need a custom plugin for this use case.

There is no SS available in appian. We need to write custom plugin to implement.

What would be the use for such a smart service? Call tests from a scheduled process model?
Fot that use case, I would suggest utilizing a tool like Jenkins, which can drive Fitnesse execution.

Mike, that's my other question that I posted on the forum. Does FitNesse produce artifacts (i.e. scripts) that can be executed via CLI? I've only seen FitNesse tests executed from a browser; displaying results in a browser. I can't do this from our build system (Bamboo)

Scripts are the same no matter what.
Quick google search shows that there is a Fitnesse plugin for Bamboo: marketplace.atlassian.com/.../overview
