Automate Import Tool and Import Customization property files

The Automated Import UI seems to only offer the chance to use an Import Customization property file when importing an Admin Console Package, but NOT when importing an Application Patch Package.

I realize that you CAN provide an import customization file if you do your import from Designer. But we need to use the Automated Import tool as a part of our DevOps automation tool chain w Patch ZIPs getting extracted out of our Source Control repo. Where / How do I supply an import customization properties file for an application patch??
