Enable multi-select on record filters dropdown in 17.1 version of Appian

Is there any way we can configure record filters in 17.1 to be multiple selectable ?

This appears to be a new feature in 17.2 ( docs.appian.com/.../fnc_system_a_facet.html). 
 
You won&#x27;t be able to do this in 17.1, but you could configure facets to cover multiple underlying selections if that works for your use case.
