FitNesse- After Appian17.2 the script get error on Login

Question

After upgrade to 17.2 all scripts stops with the error: login with username An error has occurred: Login page - externalapplicant@outlook.com. 
 The applications landing page shows and the user have been logged in successfully, but the script stops with this error. 
 Ie. | login with username | does not get the correct response and the script times out with the error.

Yes I have used that as a work around. 
 
i would be good to be able to log out from Sites directly, save test time and mirror the user behavior.

For all of my tests I create a scenario in the scenario library called "safe logout" which is defined as:

!|scenario|safe logout | 
|open |${sites.url}/logout| 
**! 
 
The sites.url is pulled from the custom.properties and used in suite set ups. 
 
This scenario is used at the beginning of each test in a suite before logging in to ensure that I am logged out before logging in.
