Needed a Landing Page like Community and like Netbanking Sites

Hi All,

I am in a requirement that

1.I need to have a landing page where I need to show the trending and the latest discussions and alerts which the client wants to show on the screen.

2.Post that I need to have a login screen like the image how community has( may be a button or link)

3.Once they login I am going to build the Appian application which is the same as is.

Can someone say me how to actually built the landing page screen

The best example other than the community I can give is the Any Bank's Net banking page.
