FitNesse How do I verify news filters/views exist?

Question

Hi we are trying to use FitNesse to do some simple regression testing and I'm having trouble finding methods for the following: 
 - Verify that a filter or view exists for the news feeds 
 - Verifying if a search term was found or not 
 The cheatsheet is helpful but doesn't cover everything I want to do. Does anyone know if the above is possible with the basic functionality please?

suem Yes I agree with you, FitNesse is suffering from lack of features. 
 
The below method should fulfill your requirement. 
| verify news feed containing text | NEWS_TEXT | is present |	Verifies a news item containing specific text is present. 
 
Write the above method in your script, if the search string is present its ok otherwise it will highlight the above line in your script with blue color.
