Group Tasks missing for a group member

Hi,

We have a scenario where a group has several tasks assigned to it, but one of the group members cannot see any of them. The user says she has not logged in to the system since before the tasks were assigned, so that discounts the explanation that she rejected the tasks. The tasks have not yet been accepted by some other group members either (and they can still see the tasks in their task list).

What else could cause this?

    Is she in multiple groups?
Can you create another user with the same membership and verify that you can see them?
Has her membership recently changed? Can you she clear her cache and try to log in again?

    Just a few quick thoughts
  • Hi

Yes, if another user is added to the group, they get all the expected tasks. The user membership has not recently changed. Infact, we tried removing and re-adding her to the group, but it made no difference.

Her task list is the same in Tempo for her as it is when I go into Designer and look at her active tasks, so it's not a caching issue.

The only thing I can think of to cause such a scenario is that she has rejected the tasks sometime in the past (although she claims not to have done so). Is there a way to check if this is the case? Can task rejections be reverted?

You can test if she did a reject by issuing a new task and seeing if she gets it. If she has that, but not the older ones, more than likely reject.

Check the process instance security also. It may differ from model security. She also may be a member of another group that is giving her deny. Check both.

    Hope that helps!
