Appian Code versioning / Code merging and Code comparison

I am looking for a Appian best practice of Code Versioning/Code management tool.

For Example : In my project we have two teams (Support and Development Team) . Both the teams would be working on same application(i.e. PM,Interfaces,rules,CDT's etc.)

So, if Support team is working on high prod issue on some process model and in parallel Development is also working on some new enhancements ? what would be process for code merge and how to do comparison before we merge something and deploy ? Basically I'm looking for two things 1)Code compare an versioning 2)build/Release management for deployment
