Does Appian support getting the Geolocation of a user using the html5 navigator.geolocation feature?

I guess thats a no
yeah at the time I was working on a map/directions form built in Appian. Since then the google maps connected system/component have come out and are a great solution for that, but I believe still don't have a current user location functionality
I think you can use the IP tracker in the app market, and go to the web to convert the ip into a longitude/latitude, then plug those into the google maps connected system and display with the google maps connected component, but I am not sure how to go to the web using Appian
yeah that strategy should work. You could hit an api like https://medium.com/@ipdata_co/what-is-the-best-commercial-ip-geolocation-api-d8195cda7027 with an Appian integration to get your lat/long
So would I need to build a Web API for that?
If by that you mean the Web API object in Appian, yeah that should work, you could also create a Integration/connected system.
