Limitations in using MySQL cloud Db

Hi All,

Can someone tell me what are the limitations which are available or which are present in using MySQL Cloud DB.

Rather than having a external DB.

Please suggest

TIA :)

  • One thing to consider is that the cloud MySQL database is not directly accessible externally, so to access any business data outside of Appian you'll need to create export processes or APIs. It's also not possible to connect clients such as MySQL Workbench to the database directly.

If you have, for example, a data warehouse into which you need to send large amounts of business data that Appian is generating, you'd be better off using something other than the cloud database. However, the cloud database can still be useful for data relating specifically to appian processes, such and process and task metrics.

  • Thanks Phil,

I have considered this points and update to my team accordingly :)
