I was looking at the Selenium plugin in Firefox but it appears to have problems with the forms that are create using Appian.

We did a quick test with Tosca. It seems to be able to automate testing by filling out forms automatically.

We used watir here for our regression testing and so far the framework works well with executing form elements in Appian forms.

Thank you for all of the comments. I will have to take a look at some of the tools mentioned.

We have started on some simple testing using Selenium. The main challenge seems to be waiting for the "Working..." symbol to disappear before moving between fields and adding data. This unfortunately makes filling in the forms with automation quite slow.
