Can you please elaborate this. column name from where?

For getting columns names and those values , you have to create the expression rule for getting column values..

I mean, u have to check the each column value with previous column value for particular cdt then use that rule for audit table.

But it is quite complexity for doing this for checking each and every columns.

Suppose i have a cdt Employee with fields-"empName","Gender" and "Department"..I get the data from db and make changes to department field. I need a logic where it will retrieve the column name as "Department" since it has changes.

I suppose the function cdtdifference() might be useful to you. You will get column which has updated value.

I tried using cdtdifference but my cdt is nested.

You mean you want to fetch Column name (Department) and you are going to update column name itself?

No..i just want to fetch the column name whose data has been changed.

Can you just send sample structure of CDT for which difference is to be calculated.

My CDT structure looks something like below,

empId: ""

empDepartment: Department(nested CDT)

dId:(nested column)

dName: ""(nested column)

empGender: Gender(nested CDT)

gId:(nested column)

gName: ""(nested column)

lastName: ""

firstName: ""

Prepare a expression rule like below :

*This will work for fields of a nested CDT.
