how to stop Decimal Point automatic round off

I want to use the value in further calculation
fixed will give me text
if I convert it to decimal again it round off which I don't want
I need actual values at the end

I am not sure how much it will be helpful, but you can definitely do calculations from the value you got through fixed.

fn!fixed((fn!fixed(0.999999999*0.999999999, 9) * fn!fixed(5.123*9.987, 9)), 9) --> 51.163400898

Also try to verify result of Appian expression rule with the calculation done with say calculator.

Your calculated values goes beyond Number (Decimal) acceptable size in byte.

Decimal in Appian can hold 8 bytes and approximately ±1.79769313486231570E+308
(15 significant decimal digits) and Integer numbers can range from -2,147,483,647 to 2,147,483,647 (or from -231+1 to 231-1 in scientific notation).
Hence, Your calculated value is 0.9999999800000001 which is 16 decimal digit. So this is a limitation in Appian.

Solution for bigger calculation is to use fixed () , if you can handle this as text type and store your data as text type only. Thanks

You need to take care of the round problem because if you have a number like: 4.85999999 the round conversion place 4.8600 because it's and automatic function that Appian applies
