how to check the data store is connected to external relational databases or not

Question

Hello, 
 I'm a beginner to Appian and we have an on premise installation, though I'm not sure whether I'm connected to a Relational Data base or not as I'm submitting the data but unable to retrieve it. Thus I would request to please let me know how to check whether RDBMS connected to a an Appian system ?

If you don't have access to the admin console, you can check the data source connections while creating the data store.

Assuming your business data source is configured via the appian administration console, you should be able to test the connection there, (under data sources). You will need system administrator rights to access that resource, though.
