Values displayed in a Grid on Interface is different for each user

Hi Everyone,

I have created a Grid Layout which displays values retrieved from Expression Rule.

This interface is accessed through Sites.

For every user who logs in with his credentials, the Grid displays different set of data.

Eg: For User A the values displayed are different for User B the values displayed is different.

But for all system admin logins the values displayed on the Grid are correct.

Issue persists only with non-system Admin logins.

From Designer, If we monitor the instances and view the form it displays the correct values in all scenarios (i.e. both system Admin and non-system Admin).

Any solutions on how to solve this?

What exactly d you mean different? Smaller/larger subsets? different values? etc?

Usually what you are describing is security related. What is the expression rule pulling? How is it pulling? Do all the users you mention have access to the same data (tables, groups, process instances, etc? - whatever you are reporting on)?

Hi Christine,

Following is an example :

If we have 5 columns with the following values displayed in each Column - A B C D E

For One user it displays - A B blank D E
For another user it displays - A A A A A
For all System admin's - A B C D E

Yes all users have access to the same data (tables, groups, process instances).

Can you paste your expression rule and any rule that is used to pass in the inputs (as the inputs may vary based on user)?

Inside the Grid Layout the text field calls the following expression rule :

The expression rule displays the first name and last name in each of the columns.
Input to expression rule : user name (i.e. Type - User)

First column expression rule:

if(
isnull(ri!usr),
"",
user(
ri!usr,
"firstName"
)
)

Second Column expression rule:

if(
isnull(ri!usr),
"",
user(
ri!usr,
"lastName"
)
)

Check (1) how are the users passed in (e.g. members of a group - do all users have access to see members?) and (2) visibility of the users themselves.

Hi,

Can you tell where is the value for ri!usr coming from ? Are you using loggedinuser() inside your process model ?

It's coming from the process model.

No it is not loggedinuser() in process model, usr is retrieved based on conditions and it is stored as a pv variable and the same is passed to the interface.
