testing a rule

Hi, I wrote a rule that can be tested only in the month of December. 
 How can I test it now without changing the rule... 
 Initial thoughts are like making system timings set to December and test.. I am not sure how feasible/doable is this without affecting others applications. Any thoughts on this or any other ways to test the rule is appreciable..

I know you want to avoid changing the code, but for testing purposes, would it be possible to replace the today()/now() calls with rule inputs? Once done, you can pass in any needed date to the rule to test the result. Posting a snippet of your specific code should help flesh out the issue if you still need assistance.
