Is it a good practice to include Process model on dashboard for UI.? Actually what I did is, I create a process and uses Tabs UI on its start form. Than I create new channel and select channel type as Process Launcher and select the recently created Process model. I just want to check that is it a good practice to use Process model on Dashboard or shall we use HTML. though it is not possible to create Tabs in Dashboard using HTML.
Please suggest.
Thanks in Advance.....

Hi, what is your use case to have process model on the dashboard for end users? I'm not sure its clear from you thread. Ideally, process models are artifacts that are usually not exposed to end users. I'd be interested to hear your use case.

@Sathya - My requirement is to have 5-6 forms on which user will have to fill/provide information. Now what I have to do is to show all that information on Dashboard. Now 5-6 forms data is long enough and in this case user have to scroll down on dashboard page to see information. I want to introduce tabs so that user can see the data by just clicking on tabs and no need to scroll down the page.
Please let me know if this is a good practice.

Use Records. Records were built exactly for challenges like these.
In 7.3, you can build multiple Views for a single record thus making the functionality lot more user friendly and at the same time providing all the info to the end user in an intuitive manner.

@Sathya - You may be right but I need tabs in Dashboard. Do you have better ways to achieve this rather than involve process model as a channel.?

Pradeep, creating or building something custom for the app's portal is not the path you should be considering given that this is an out of the box feature in 7.3. Further more, you are providing your client with a solution which would require a total rework in the near future. I strongly recommend you consider the alternative as suggested.

@Sathya - Appian 7.3 may have the feature, but my client is working on Appian 6.6 version and they want us to have a tabs on Dashbaord. In this case, is it a good practice to use process model for Dashboard.?
