Can we disable "NEWS" link under Records

Hi all, 
 Good day. 
 Is it possible to disable the "NEWS" link in Records? 
 Is there any configuration that is available to disable this? 
 Any inputs are highly appreciated. 
 Please let me know.

If you are using sites you can disable "NEWS" tab for all the records under the specific site. In site you have option to disable news tab

Agreed with Chanakya Volam, if at all you are not interested / business users are not interested in viewing the News then you can configure a SITE Object and set this as a default page for the business users group (who are not interested to view News). 
 
Hence configure the following options under the SITE Object: 
 -- Uncheck "Display news view on records" (if already checked) 
-- Show Tempo Link in Navigation Menu -> Never (this will disable the links to Tempo from your configured Site, because if the user is not interested in viewing the News tab, where Tasks, Records, Reports and Actions can be configured on Site, hence there is no need to have the Tempo Navigation link under this SITE Object).

HI Phani, Afaik, As a designer, we do not have the control over News tab/link that is provided by Appian by default on the records. Thanks, Sindhu

No, we can't disable the NEWS view/tab/link displayed under a record as of Appian v18.4. 
 
However out of interest, may i know why do you want to disable the NEWS view? Are there any specific reason? 
 
If it's just because you are not using them, then i believe this shouldn't be a deal-breaker.
