Search Bar in Records

Question

Hi everyone,

I am creating a Record Type of Subscribers and the source of the records is the DSE from my DS. Is it possible to be able to search the records by name or e-mail? And to put a placeholder in the search bar with the text "Search by name or e-mail"?

In answer to your second question you cannot put a placeholder in the Search box. The Search in Appian Records is in effect like the Google 'omni-search' - it will conduct a contains-based string search across every column in the your list view. So, in answer to your first question - if you include the name and email in your record (and, bets practice, on the list view itself) then the search will work as per your requirement.
