I am assuming you are talking about the following scenario:
1. created report in say dev
2. created an application that contains the report
3. exported the application from dev and imported into qa
4. made changes to report in dev
The report in dev will have the modifications and so will the application in development. You will need to export/import the application again to get it to show up in qa.

Hi Helmuta .. Thanks for replying You are a life savor :)
Okay , I have now asked them to push the application from dev to QA and see the changes , it should be there .. I was sure about the process models but not about reports , so that was my doubt if the latest version of report should be reflected or not if it is not added again to the application ?

When you export, the application always takes the latest version of every object. So when you saved the edited report, then exported the application, the export takes a snapshot of the newly saved report.
