Hi , We made a process which was not according to the appian standards , now while refactoring the process model, i created new variable and deleted the previous ones , and checked it thoroughly that the process is not using any old variables . Now while saving the process , i am getting the error " There was an error in expression in null at null : null" .I rechecked my model and it has no reference to any old variable .But the error still persists . Can anybody help me with this ?...

Hi himanshug, One out of several possible reasons for this error message might be usage of the deleted process variable inside the forms, especially in the message form field.

@sikhinivahans : I checked all the forms thoroughly many times , there is no use of the deleted variables. So i am not able to figure out where does the error lie. However , when i was testing and Deleted few nodes and validated. The no of exceptions are reducing.

Check whether you are using any process variable(user or group) in assignment tab of swimlanes and userinput tasks. If so please change that to current process variable.

Couple of options for you:
1.In process model documentation, you can search for old variables.
2.Create an application package and export that, then you can search the old process variables in the corresponding process model xml file.
