In a process I am unable to get past a OR gateway where the logic is something l

In a process I am unable to get past a OR gateway where the logic is something like =pv!count_int<=length(pv!requestDetails_cdt.xxxx)
It does not throw any errors, the process just gets stuck at this gateway. I monitored the process and value of count is 2 and length(pv!requestDetails_cdt.xxxx) is 1, so it should move on to the next activity in the process but does not. Is it the case of a corrupt process model? I tried saving a copy of the process model and referenced the copy from the main process - NO CHANGE.
Has anyone encountered this before. Any suggestions?...
