Hi all,
I have a workflow with multiple chained tasks for the same user. The process is splitted into multiple subprocesses and works fine using subprocesses. But I would prefer to use the Smart Service "Start new process" instead of a subprocesses for better load management. When using the smart service to start new processes, chaining tasks that belong to different processes does not work. Is that expected?
Thanks all!

There's a good page in the documentation that describes how each method of starting a process works: Ways to Start a Process. What you have described is expected behavior because the process starts Asynchronously; activity chaining is only followed for Synchronous Sub-Processes. In general I agree with using the start process smart service for load balancing, but it may be fine in this case to use a standard sub-process node.
Thanks for confirming it and for the link. I was very excited about using a Route Process model as described in the Playbook, but I am sure I will have another chance to use it.
